And here's what you missed...On April 28th We had  Guest Speaker: Viki King - The Swami of Hollywood and author of " How to Write a Movie in 21 Days", which has been a consistent bestseller since it was first published fifteen years ago.  She has been script consultant for many big name celebrities that have included Charles Schultz, Creator of Peanuts, and Stephen Simon, Founder of Spiritual Cinema Circle, among many others.

However, she did not want to spend a lot of time talking about herself.  She wanted to know what’s on everyone’s heart’s mind.  "It’s important to embrace one’s impossible obstacles so that one can move from surviving to thriving".  She also wanted us to know that all we had to do was "change the channel"!

Viki gave us one example of a client who was making hundreds and hundreds of phone calls to get her project out and no one was calling her back.  This was before call waiting.  She suggested to the client to hang up so she can receive the return phone calls.

Through interaction with the members, Viki provided great insight to a young documentary film maker, who's  project on relationships included interviews with relationship specialists of the world.   Viki  reminded us that "what’s needed now is a partnership rather than relationship!"

An Internet distributor and marketer, expressed great interest in hearing the stories of the members to see what services he could provide. To one couple  in the process of finishing their film, looking for financing and distribution of “Mystical Journeys”,   they were able  to network. Viki then emphasized that the reason we are all here at this precise moment was to make connections and form possible partnerships

In another case, Viki suggested that in many ensemble type stories, it’s best to still have a main character that the audience follows. That would help solidify the goals, the conflicts and what is learned from the experiences.

After the break, “Bending Spoons” was premiered; plans are still under way for ISEE to reinvent itself and the ongoing processes for changes in new media content caused by the Internet, were discussed.

We look forward to seeing you at the next Networking Meeting: there will be more great guests to share their experiences with our great members!

The Mastermind Meetings are for actors, writers, producers, directors, executive producers, crew and anyone involved in the film making process. We're looking for pro-active people who want to create and help produce films and other projects in the genre of Transformational Media. We will be sharing ideas and talents, getting a chance to network with possible future film making partners.
